We are a full-service boutique construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial projects —on time and within budget— throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
Our sweet spot is constructing small to medium-scale commercial projects, including extensions, gut-rehabilitations, and new construction for a wide range of business clientele.

As a multi-disciplined business owner, Don Situ, believes in accountability and going the extra mile for his clients.
Whether it’s fine tuning a strategic plan, discussing design enhancements, meeting with the construction team, or in the workshop, testing out paint methods, Don is deeply involved in every phase of the build—and invested in the success of every project.
What’s more, each member of his team is committed to the very same values and, just like Don, is driven to achieve the highest quality product and unsurpassed customer service. This is how innovation happens at Metro Projects Construction, Inc.
After designing and constructing Laundromats for his clients over the years, Don, and the Metro Projects team, launched a business venture of their own, aimed at transforming the very character of the laundry business. In early 2017, under Don’s leadership, the Lemon Laundry brand, and signature 2,500-square foot store was created.
With its floor-to-ceiling storefront windows, dark hardware, and vintage signage, Lemon Laundry, located in Woodside, Queens, offers a curb appeal that reads more like a trendy café than Laundromat. Don has plans to grow the brand and open new locations—by intently listening to his laundry customers, and keeping his focus on creating something special in the Laundromat landscape.
Prior to the creation of Lemon Laundry, and Metro Projects Construction, Inc., Don worked as a successful commercial architect and designer. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in electrical engineering from the renowned University of Science and Technology Beijing, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Memphis College of Art.
Don is a registered Construction Superintendent in the five boroughs of New York City.
He lives with his wife, Mandy, and their children in New Hyde Park, Long Island.

A structure isn’t finished until the finishing touches are done.
